RESERVATIONS, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS

For 24-hour information, please contact us by email by following the information on the "Contact Us" page.  Please indicate the dates for which you are interested in making a reservation.  Please understand that because The Honey Hole is our family home which we enjoy using for ouselves, we do not accept all reservation requests. After an inquiry is received, we will provide you a reservation request form that will allow us to get to know your party better and will provide you details of the reservation.

Please designate one person in your party to be responsible for all correspondence and payments regarding your reservation and plans.

At least 30 days prior to your arrival, full payment must be made for the entire reservation, including the payment of a security deposit (if required) and the cleaning fee.  If payment is not timely received, your reservation is subject to cancellation and you will forfeit your booking deposit.  If your reservation is made with less than 30 days prior to your arrival, full payment must be made at the time of booking.


WHAT IS PROVIDED

Everything will be ready for you to kick your shoes off and relax!

  • Sheets and towels are supplied for your use.  The home will have the appropriate amount to accommodate 10-11 people.
  • All standard beds will be made up with linens, blankets and a bedspread.   (The Futon in the loft is available to sleep an additional two people, but will not be made up).
  • Towels will be hanging in the bathrooms.  Please bring personal beach towels.
  • Please be sure all linens stay in the home when you leave.
  • The Honey Hole features standard items, which include the following: HDTV (local stations), air conditioning and heating, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware.   Additionally TVs, VCR, DVD, porch furniture, private community pool, private community boat launch and pier access.
  • The owner  may furnish recreational games and equipment and the like as a courtesy.
  • None of these items are guaranteed.  Refunds will not be given due to breakdown.

Please recognize that the Honey Hole is a family home.  Please care for it and its furnishings in the same manner you would expect others to care for your own personal items.

HOUSE RULES AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

Please follow these house rules so that your stay will be enjoyable for you and our neighbors.  Further house rules and guidelines will be provided to you if you request a reservation.

  • A telephone is not provided. Please bring a mobile phone.
  • For emergencies, dial 911.
  • Our home is located in the City of Galveston city limits (Police, Fire, EMS)
  • Always use downstairs shower when coming in from the beach.
  • NO loud music from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am - City Ordinance.
  • NO pets allowed.
  • NO smoking in the house.
  • $300-$500 security deposit required for first time guests.  Security deposits will be returned upon final inspection of the home after departure.  $120.00 cleaning fee charged for all reservations, regardless of length of stay.
  • Charcoal grill provided, to be used downstairs only.

REFUND POLICY AND BOOKING DEPOSIT

  • Refund policy varies for each reservation, depending upon time of booking, length of stay and requested dates.
  • At least $300 booking deposit required to reserve the house for a weekend (2 or 3 nights).  If you reserve the house for a longer period of time, a larger booking deposit will be required or full payment may be required.  The booking deposit must be received along with the reservation request form and contract before your reservation will be confirmed.   Booking date is not confirmed until the deposit and reservation form/contract are received and accepted. This deposit is in addition to the security deposit required for first time guests as outlined above. Unfortunately, we cannot hold dates for you without a booking deposit and contract.
  • City of Galveston Storm Evacuation - Full refund for days of evacuation only and only if ordered by the city.  Evacuation is mandatory if so ordered.
  • We recommend the purchase of vacation/trip insurance for your stay.  Vacation Insurance is relatively inexpensive and may provide you protection for accidental damage and cancellation issues.  Please visit http://www.vacationrentalinsurance.com/ or http://www.travelguard.com/ for more details.  If you decide to purchase trip insurance, we will provide you a discount on your reservation rate equal to the lesser of:  (1) 50% of the cost of the insurance or (2) $50.00 upon proof of such insurance.
